A comprehensive programme of restoration and improvement works to the park, supporting the successful securing of HLF Round 2 funding. The scheme included the refurbishment and extension of the existing park building to deliver enhanced community facilities, such as a new café, flexible community space, and modern public toilets with family, disabled, and changing accommodation. The wider project involved the restoration of the Grade II* listed Hubert Fountain and Piazza, the construction of a new community building and adventure playground, and the upgrade of existing park amenities. Together, these improvements create a more welcoming, accessible, and versatile environment for all park users.
